Beth Augsburger has a Bachelors of Science in Education from Eastern Mennonite University and a K-12 Math Endorsement from the University of Washington. She has taught math in both middle school and high school classrooms for more than 30 years.

Jennifer Foster

Jennifer Foster has a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky.  She has been a physical therapist since 1995.  She has been married for over 30 years and has two sons.  She has homeschooled her children for the last 15 years.  Her family has been involved with the Core Program since 2017.

Meghan Wells

Meghan Wells holds a B.A. in English and minors in Bible and Creative Writing from Cedarville University. While in college, she critiqued both academic and creative works and was an editor for a literary journal. She also interned for the nonprofit Why We Write, Inc., helping teach elementary through high school students how to write poetry. Currently, outside of Core, she is a freelance editor. Meghan was home educated and attended the Core Program as a high school student.

Susan Samples

Susan Samples has a B.A. in English from the University of Kentucky and an M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Secondary English from the University of Kentucky. Mrs. Samples taught eleventh grade English at Lexington Christian Academy before having children. In addition to teaching her own children, she has taught English, writing, literature, and history to area homeschoolers for a number of years. 

Danielle Saxton

Danielle Saxton has a B.A. and an M.A. in Secondary English Education, both from the University of
Kentucky. She has taught junior English at Henry Clay High School and worked with the 4-H program in Scott
County, and she now homeschools her children.

Kimberly Taylor
Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Mrs. Taylor has received a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Microbiology from Alderson Broaddus College.  She pursued her graduate work at UK in the field of Microbiology and Immunology.  She worked for a private research firm investigating monoclonal antibodies to brain and breast cancer and ran a thyroid cancer lab at UK.  She has papers published in Clinical and Experimental Metastasis and Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. Mrs. Taylor has been married for 30+ years and has 4 children.  She was a homeschooling mom for 20 years and graduated her youngest in 2019.  She has taught in multiple homeschool co-ops and academic centers at all age levels for 26+ years concentrating on high school physical science, biology, chemistry, and physics for the last 17.

Reid Thomas Jr.

Reid Thomas Jr. obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Houghton College (Major: Sociology, Minors: Communication and History) in 1987, and then earned a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1991.  In 2005 he received from Asbury Seminary his Doctor of Ministry degree in Preaching and Leadership as part of the Beeson Pastor Program. Having pastored churches in Kentucky and Pennsylvania, he brings more than 20 years of pastoral experience to the classroom.  In addition to the Core Program, he is an instructor for Asbury University, Indiana Wesleyan University (online), and Oklahoma Wesleyan University (online).  Reid and his wife Amy, who both homeschooled, have 2 children.
